Handprint In The Wall is a media incorporated performance, showing one woman's struggle to endure the 'rest cure'. Based on the true story of The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, OutLoud Theatre Company have created a modern adaptation of this classic short story. We will follow Amy throughout her treatment and see the effects that battling post-natal depression, an oppressive marriage and family, have on her. It is an expressive piece exploring the themes of oppression, mental health and confinement.
